Hope Academy in Concert
Violin Daniel Hope
Viola Philip Dukes
Cello Philipp Schupelius
Piano Ron Maxim Huang
The Hope Music Academy was launched jointly in 2018 by Daniel Hope and the Schloss Neuhardenberg Foundation. It is an academy that takes place once a year at Neuhardenberg Castle under the direction of Daniel Hope and with internationally renowned guest lecturers. At the end of the academy there will be a public final concert by the participants and their lecturers. The Academy itself should be more than a classic master class. It prepares you in a focused manner for the demands of today's music world, including in terms of moderation, presentation and the specific challenges of a musician's life. It should be helpful, but also a demanding task. In addition to the musical work (solo or in an ensemble), there is the opportunity to exchange ideas with the mentioned personalities from culture and society. For the past two years, Philip Dukes, Daniel Hope's long-time chamber music partner and artistic director of the renowned Marlborough College, has been a guest lecturer in chamber music in England. Ron Maxim Huang and Philipp Schupelius have also played chamber music with Daniel Hope several times. This evening you will hear two of the young Academy participants in concert with their two lecturers for the first time. Be excited.
