Works by G. Mahler, R. Clarke, J. Brahms
The Hope Music Academy was launched in 2018 by Daniel Hope and the Schloss Neuhardenberg Foundation. It is an academy that takes place once a year at Schloss Neuhardenberg under the direction of Daniel Hope and with internationally renowned guest lecturers. At the end of the academy, the participants give a public final concert with their lecturers. The academy itself is intended to be more than a classical master class. It focuses on preparing students for the demands of today's music world, including moderation, presentation and the specific challenges of the musician's life. It is intended to be a support, but also a demanding task. In addition to the musical work (solo or in an ensemble), there is an opportunity to exchange ideas with the aforementioned personalities from culture and society. For the past two years, Philip Dukes, Daniel Hope's long-time chamber music partner and Artistic Director of the renowned Marlborough College in England, has been a guest lecturer in chamber music. Ron Maxim Huang and Philipp Schupelius have also played chamber music with Daniel Hope several times. This evening you will hear two of the young Academy participants in concert with their two teachers for the first time. Be excited.
